Sinomach spurs high-quality projects in BRI areas

Unflagging efforts are being made by Sinomach to boost its major projects, to coordinate its onshore and offshore business development to further ties between domestic and international markets, and to aid the establishment of the dual circulation pattern, with a focus on countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Two newly-constructed 630MW oil-gas fired power plants in Salah al-Din province, Iraq, have achieved initial success after the first successful start-up of Unit 1, which paves the way for trial operation and grid-connected power generation of the unit, and marks that the plants are about to be put into service.

The project, undertaken by Sinomach subsidiary China Machinery Engineering Corporation, will ease Iraq's tight electricity supply and benefit local people.

CAMCE cooperates with Dhaka to improve local water supplies

China CAMC Engineering Co Ltd (CAMCE), an affiliate of Sinomach, recently signed an EPC project for water piping construction with the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (DWSSA). Two water pipelines – each 14 kilometers in length -- and ancillary facilities will be built to supply drinking water to local people in Dhaka, capital city of Bangladesh.

The DESWSP water piping project marks ongoing teamwork in Bangladesh’s water sector between CAMCE and DWSSA after their cooperation on a rainwater pumping station and the Padma water treatment plant.

The project has further enhanced the competitiveness and influence of Sinomach in the Bangladesh market, and boosted the company’s business development in the field of water engineering.

Guinea’s largest photovoltaic power station in full swing

The first shipment of 220,000 tons of bauxite for the Guinea aluminum development project of State Power Investment Corporation Limited recently embarked for China, after loading was powered by Guinea’s largest 1.2 MW photovoltaic new energy power station and four 1.6 MW diesel generator sets.

The photovoltaic plant, built by SUMEC Complete Equipment & Engineering Co (SUMEC CEEC), affiliated to SUMEC Group Corporation, provides power supply for port shippers and other facilities to meet the need of port bauxite loading and unloading.

Sinomach sets stage for imported corn processing in Beihai Integrated FTZ

The first corn from Ukraine imported by Sinomach Hainan Development Co, a new subsidiary of Sinomach, recently arrived in the Beihai Integrated Free Trade Zone. The project is an important measure by the company to guarantee national food security.

The corn will be allowed to be imported when it passes inspection and quarantine, and will be processed into fodder in the Beihai Integrated FTZ. The shipment is expected to energize the imported corn processing business in Beihai, and inject new impetus into the all-round and high-quality development of the FTZ.
